oops... forgot "my weekend"

had extra girls over - friends of both my daughters - funny funny, smart girls - we laughed all weekend - it was truly wonderful.

This part of parenting - I absolutely adore - it is so wonderful to help shape young people, and have fun all at the same time!

My stomach muscles actually hurt from laughing, and it amazes me that the entire world isn't as addicted to shamrock shakes as we are!

I was glad to find to find your blog hidden in Don's blog. I was also glad that you didn't understand his family rant(?) either. When I first read it, I thought, "Well, he's way more intelligent than I am so I guess that's why I don't understand. But I know you have a brain in your head since you were my lab partner in 7th grade -- so I feel better.

Hope you don't mind if you read your blog. I won't tell anybody. ;)

You are still very smart yourself, I really thought that no one would ever find me... actually I never thought that anyone would want to find me.

I'm okay with that, it's good to maybe have a reader - I just know I wouldn't write down my thoughts quite so freely if I thought OMG - my mother might read this, or my husband or my children. So, if I search hard enough will I find a blog published by you?

Yes, you would. Your blog inspired me to try it out, although I've always been more the Big Chief type of journaler. But you can't buy Big Chiefs anymore, so I thought maybe I'd get with the times. There's only one lame entry right now about my failure to cook dinner most of the time. I was a little tipsy because I'd actually cooked dinner that night and the recipe called for 1/2 cup of white wine. Well, what was I supposed to do with the rest of the bottle? Then, hubby didn't show up for dinner 'cause he wanted to catch up with some work at the shop so... well, it was really good wine and it was a shame to let it go to waste.

But I digress. I've really enjoyed your blog. I feel like we are sort of kindred spirit moms -- you're just a little ahead of me. I try to be "real" about parenting and it sounds like you do to. I don't come across a lot of moms like that in the ultra-conservative neighborhood I live in.

So anyway, Mike M. has my email address if you want to email me. I have yours but I wasn't sure if it was your personal email that only you checked. I promise I won't tell your family you have a blog if you don't tell mine. And please don't change how you write because you know I might read it.
